OK, then take your £500 and get installed whatever you like. Report back here when done.

Re: BROADBAND: We are now in the CDS approved area!

No need to be so harsh about it. Up to one month ago, the message was: "No chance!" Even the man from CDS did not know. We had tried often enough in the past and there was no indication that this position would change. You were lucky to find out by chance and we are all very grateful, many thanks. W...

Re: Broadband in Dundry and surrounding areas

I only ever communicated through their generic e-mail address:

broadbandvoucher-mailbox@devon.gov.uk

And the last personal response was from a person signing as Dec.
(Oh, I hate it when customer service people don't give their full name. You'll never have anyone to hold to account.)

Re: Broadband in Dundry and surrounding areas

The Web site update and newsletter will go out tomorrow afternoon. I am just waiting to see if there is any further news before then. I have also written to CDS directly, asking about the rule change. Their Web site is misleading in that it still states they are not able to cover our area. With rega...

Re: Broadband in Dundry and surrounding areas

I think I should explain a bit more about BDUK (in particular our branch "Connecting Devon and Somerset" - CDS). This is a government initiative to help connect rural areas to the Internet. There is an investment scheme to upgrade the infrastructure, being rolled out in 2 phases but only covering 95...
