Dundry Women's Institute

Programme for 2011

DUNDRY W.I. is part of the Avon Federation of Women’s Institutes. We were founded in 1922. We meet at 7.30 p.m. in Dundry Village Hall every 3rd Wednesday (except December when it’s the 2nd Wednesday). You will receive a warm and friendly welcome at our meetings – and that’s a promise!

We have really good speakers, excellent refreshments (oh, those wonderful WI cakes) and a Big Bargain Stall (it really is big) with reasonable prices. Of course there is also time to chat, naturally!

We visit the theatre, gardens, local attractions, etc. We go on outings farther afield, usually by coach. We have a huge number of WI-organised events to choose from every month.

There’s craft, walks, sport, lectures, cookery and other classes. Or how about classes for belly dancing, taster days for croquet or other exotic things. The list is endless and the choice is yours.

We have a Nosh & Natter lunch on the first Wednesday of the month at the Dundry Inn. 12.30 for 1. £5.95. Be prepared to chat! Husbands and friends welcome.

Federation events include trips abroad. One of our members has been to Canada, New Zealand and Italy in the last 3 years. 2010 it’s Oberammergau for the Passion Play.
