This month I would like to tell you about North Somerset’s new Local Plan, which looks ahead from 2026 to 2041:

Dundry Church Harvest Festival and Foodbank Collection

We will be receiving donations of non-perishable goods & toiletries to be distributed by the Salvation Army

We’re thrilled to share that Dundry Village Hall has been awarded a £20,000 grant from the National Lottery Fund to support a new phase of improvements.
The successful bid was a joint effort between the Climate and Community Action group (CCA) and the Village Hall Committee. This generous funding will significantly enhance the hall’s accessibility and facilities, helping it to better serve the whole community.
The grant will fund:
· Step-free access for wheelchair users
· An induction loop system to support those who are hard of hearing
· A professional cinema projector and large screen
· Microphones and outdoor speakers
· A large marquee for community events
It will also support the creation of a mural on the exterior walls, celebrating both Dundry’s community spirit and our natural surroundings.
These improvements will make the hall more inclusive for people with mobility or hearing challenges. They also represent a major step towards establishing Dundry Village Hall as a vibrant, financially sustainable hub for local events, bringing our community closer together.
